WKYC 7 p.m. News Set

WKYC, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, sought to differentiate themselves from the traditional newscast.  They asked for an environment with an open floor plan and modern, organic details.

The main desk/podium was to have an ethereal quality while still relating to the architecture of its surroundings.

The carpeted riser area needed to be versatile enough to accommodate a political show, news interviews and various entertainment segments.

Sculptured walls utilize LED technology, which allow both the color and intensity of the texture to be changed as needed.

The same elements were used, on a slightly smaller scale, in the corner stand-up area to unify the design and broaden the visual scope of the space.
