WKYC Multi-Function Set

In 2011, WKYC, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland OH, turned to Blind Squirl Design to update and adapt a set for a new sales/variety show.

This project required that the space be adaptable for use as a sports-entertainment set, live performance stage, sales-driven demonstration show and occasionally provide enough space for live audience seating.

The large central sign, used for branding, is easily switched out to facilitate each of the set iterations. The monitor, podium and demonstration table can be repositioned or removed, as needed. Curved architectural elements of varying textures and materials unite the theme, add depth, and serve to balance the pre-existing flat planes.
